Senior Systems Engineer – Mission-Critical RF Systems\\n\\n£60,000 – £65,000 + Benefits | Northamptonshire | Hybrid Working\\n\\nAbout the Role\\n\\nJoin a leading technology company developing cutting-edge, mission-critical RF systems for defense and security applications. We're seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-end systems across three core capability areas:\\n\\n * Secure Tactical Datalinks for critical communications\\n\\n * Spectrum Monitoring Systems for RF analysis and management\\n\\n * Battlespace Technologies including COMINT, HF Direction Finding, C-UAS, and C-RCIED systems\\n\\nThis is a technically hands-on yet strategically involved position working across the full product lifecycle from bids to delivery.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nSystems Architecture & Strategy:\\n\\n * Systems architecture definition and high-level design\\n\\n * Requirements capture, analysis, and management\\n\\n * Translate customer requirements into technical solutions\\n\\n * Interface definition and system performance analysis\\n\\nTechnical Leadership:\\n\\n * Lead and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams\\n\\n * Maintain technical vision across complex projects\\n\\n * Support bid processes and customer technical discussions\\n\\n * Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management\\n\\nProduct Development:\\n\\n * Work across full development lifecycle\\n\\n * System verification and validation activities\\n\\n * Technical documentation and specification development\\n\\n * Design reviews and technical risk management\\n\\nEssential Requirements\\n\\n * 5+ years systems engineering experience (7+ preferred)\\n\\n * Strong background in systems architecture and requirements capture\\n\\n * Experience with full development lifecycle management\\n\\n * Ability to translate high-level requirements into system architecture\\n\\n * Technical leadership of multidisciplinary teams\\n\\n * Some knowledge of RF systems essential\\n\\n * British citizenship or eligible for UK security clearance (SC)\\n\\n * Engineering degree or equivalent experience\\n\\nWhat We Offer\\n\\n * Salary: £60,000 – £65,000\\n\\n * Annual Bonus: 3-6% of salary\\n\\n * Hybrid Working: 3 days onsite in Northamptonshire\\n\\n * Holiday: 25 days + option to buy 5 additional days\\n\\n * Pension: 5% company contribution (when matched)\\n\\n * Benefits: Life cover, comprehensive package\\n\\n * Hours: 40-hour working week
