My client is an innovative, fast-growing technology company developing cutting-edge Spatial AI solutions for the construction, surveying and geospatial sectors.

Our client is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to become the link between their engineering team and customers, ensuring software releases are reliable, thoroughly tested, and successfully deployed. you'll play a key role supporting advanced hardware and software platforms that combine multi-sensor data, edge computing and AI to generate highly accurate 3D spatial models in Real Time.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, improving software quality, and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you'll have genuine influence over product development and customer success.

As the Technical Support Engineer, you will

  • Act as the primary technical support contact for customers deploying the companys technology.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Document technical solutions and convert customer feedback into actionable development tasks.
  • Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans across software, hardware and cloud platforms.
  • Carry out regression, integration and end-to-end testing.
  • Validate cloud portal functionality and secure API communications.
  • Own the software release process, including testing, version control, release documentation and deployment.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful software releases.
  • Support over-the-air (OTA) software deployments to field devices.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent commercial experience).
  • Around 2+ years experience in a similar technical support, QA or test engineering role.
  • Strong Linux/Ubuntu command-line experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash Scripting.
  • Experience working with Docker and containerised environments.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, including debugging nodes and analysing rosbag data.
  • Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI or similar).
  • Understanding of Debian/apt package management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable supporting customers and explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with SLAM technologies and testing localisation or mapping systems.
  • Exposure to AWS cloud services.
  • Knowledge of React and/or Node. js environments.
  • Experience working with NVIDIA Jetson hardware or similar Embedded edge devices.
  • Understanding of OTA deployment solutions for Embedded platforms.
  • Previous experience working within a start-up or high-growth technology business.
