Mechanical Design Engineer
£45,000 per year | Full-time, Permanent | Hybrid (3 days wfh)
Join a pioneering technology company developing intelligent robotics and AI-powered vision systems transforming modern agriculture. We're seeking a practical, detail-driven mechanical designer to help evolve next-generation robotic systems.
You'll be:
- Designing mechanical aspects of robotic and automation systems
- Creating CAD models and technical drawings for manufacturing
- Working on end-effectors, actuator housings, and control cabinet layouts
- Following designs from concept through production to real-world deployment
- Spending time on customer farms to see solutions perform under field conditions
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline
- 3+ years' experience in mechanical design
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
- Comfortable working hands-on with machinery and prototypes
- Willingness to travel for on-site work
- Full UK driving license and valid passport
