The Role
- Developing and maintaining modern, responsive web applications.
- Building intuitive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
- Developing real-time browser functionality using JavaScript and Server-Sent Events (SSE).
- Working closely with software developers, engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and real-time data services.
- Ensuring applications are accessible, performant and compatible across modern browsers.
- Troubleshooting, debugging and optimising existing applications.
- Contributing to code reviews and following development best practices.
About You
We're looking for someone with strong front-end development experience and a passion for building high-quality web applications.
Essential Skills
- Strong commercial experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), including Server-Sent Events (SSE).
- Experience developing responsive web applications.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Good understanding of web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge or experience of conferencing or unified communications technologies.
- Experience with real-time web applications.
- Familiarity with WebSockets.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Experience working within an Agile development environment.
