We’re seeking a detail-driven and proactive Financial Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant who’s passionate about accuracy, reporting, and compliance - and who wants to make a tangible impact within a fast-moving business.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting and will be involved in the preparation of statutory accounts, tax submissions, and internal financial controls.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the production of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and internal policies.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and other statutory filings.
- Support balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Partner with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Drive process improvements and support systems upgrades or implementations.
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or finalist with relevant experience).
- 2+ years in a financial accounting or external audit role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, Xero).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
