This is a leadership role that combines hands-on technical expertise with people management responsibilities. You'll lead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems across the full product lifecycle while mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical and electronic design activities from concept through to production and in-service support
- Provide technical expertise in analogue and digital electronics, PCB design, and electro-mechanical systems
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed cost, quality, and schedule targets
- Support manufacturing, installation, testing, and product support activities
- Mentor and develop engineers through technical reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to engineering standards, technical proposals, bids, and project estimates
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with verification and validation processes, industry standards, and customer requirements
- Undertake line management responsibilities, including resource planning, performance management, and recruitment support
