An established engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing civil engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on a broad range of infrastructure and development projects across both private and public sector clients. You will be involved in the delivery of infrastructure designs from concept through to detailed design, working closely with multidisciplinary teams on a variety of development schemes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Producing highways and drainage designs
  • Preparing 2D and 3D highway alignments
  • Developing infrastructure models and technical drawings
  • Managing smaller projects and supporting larger schemes
  • Coordinating surveys and technical studies
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
  • Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
  • Preparing reports and technical documentation
  • Assisting with site inspections and project supervision

Essentials:

  • Experience within civil infrastructure/highways design
  • Strong working knowledge of Civils 3D and AutoCAD
  • Experience with drainage design software such as MicroDrainage
  • Understanding of SuDS, highways design, and infrastructure standards
  • Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, and relevant adoption agreements
  • Ability to manage workloads and contribute within a project team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Chartered or working toward professional accreditation
  • Experience working within consultancy environments
  • Knowledge of GIS software
