My client is a global engineering company delivering advanced technologies that improve safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency, specialising in naval defence.
About the role:
- Lead electrical and electronic design and development across the full product lifecycle, ensuring delivery to cost, time, and quality.
- Provide technical expertise on analogue/digital circuits, PCB design, and electro-mechanical systems while supporting product manufacturing, installation, and service life.
- Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to company standards, bid preparation, and proposals.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and customers to ensure compliance with requirements, V&V processes, and industry standards.
- Undertake line management duties, including resource allocation, recruitment support, and team development.
- Ensure team welfare, tools, and safety compliance.
- Promote excellence, implement new processes, and empower team members to grow while maintaining environmental, health, and safety responsibilities.

Requirements:
- Full design experience in analogue/digital circuit design, PCB layout (Altium), and electro-mechanical systems.
- Leadership & Team Management – Ability to lead, mentor, and allocate resources effectively.
- Requirements & Standards Knowledge – Strong understanding of V&V, configuration management, and IPC/industry standards.
- Excellent Communication & Collaboration – Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional teamwork.
