My client is a global engineering company delivering advanced technologies that improve safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency, specialising in naval defence.

About the role:

  • Lead electrical and electronic design and development across the full product lifecycle, ensuring delivery to cost, time, and quality.
  • Provide technical expertise on analogue/digital circuits, PCB design, and electro-mechanical systems while supporting product manufacturing, installation, and service life.
  • Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to company standards, bid preparation, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and customers to ensure compliance with requirements, V&V processes, and industry standards.
  • Undertake line management duties, including resource allocation, recruitment support, and team development.
  • Ensure team welfare, tools, and safety compliance.
  • Promote excellence, implement new processes, and empower team members to grow while maintaining environmental, health, and safety responsibilities.

  • Full design experience in analogue/digital circuit design, PCB layout (Altium), and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Leadership & Team Management – Ability to lead, mentor, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Requirements & Standards Knowledge – Strong understanding of V&V, configuration management, and IPC/industry standards.
  • Excellent Communication & Collaboration – Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional teamwork.
