JOB - Electrical Controls & Automation Project / Design Engineer

LOCATION - Norfolk
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
My client is a growing electrical engineering and control systems business, delivering automation, control systems and LV switchgear solutions to industrial clients.
They are looking for an experienced Electrical Controls & Automation Project / Design Engineer to manage projects from initial enquiry through to design, manufacture, testing and commissioning.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in electrical design, controls, automation or project engineering
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems and LV switchgear
- Experience using EPLAN and AutoCAD
- PLC/HMI programming and commissioning experience
- Experience designing control panels, electrical schematics and backplate layouts
- Knowledge of UKCA/CE requirements; UL 508A advantageous
- Galaxy 3 / Cubic experience advantageous
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
The role will involve:
- Managing controls and LV switchgear projects from enquiry to commissioning
- Producing electrical designs, schematics, FDS and technical documentation
- Preparing quotations and project estimates
- Supporting FAT, commissioning and fault finding
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and subcontractors
- Providing post-installation and call-out support xgikmsk
- General project engineering and management responsibilities
