A defence communications company is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead technical development of tactical datalinks, spectrum monitoring systems, and battlespace communications.
The Role:
- Define system architecture and requirements for defence communications products
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams (RF, Hardware, Software, Mechanical)
- Own verification and validation activities
- Support bids, proposals, and customer engagements
- Lead design reviews (PDR, CDR) and manage technical trade-offs
- Create system documentation, interface definitions, and test specifications
Essential Requirements:
- 5 years systems engineering experience
- Strong systems engineering methods and processes
- Experience across full engineering development lifecycle
- Multi-disciplinary coordination (HW, SW, RF, Mechanical)
- Requirements management and system architecture experience
- Self-motivated with ability to lead independently
- British Citizen or SC Clearance eligible
Desirable:
- 7 years systems engineering experience
- DOORS or requirements management tools
- Automotive systems background (ADAS, ECU, ISO26262)
- Defense, aerospace, or communications systems experience
- Design review leadership and FMEA experience
