Lynx Recruitment is seeking an experienced 3rd Line Windows Engineer to perform a combination of Level 3 support and project-based tasks, supporting a range of IT platforms primarily within the public sector. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain effective under pressure during incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate infrastructure from on-premise to cloud (including Intune and Exchange Online)
- Support and deploy virtual desktop environments (VMware Horizon)
- Build and maintain desktop images, package and deploy applications
- Administer and support Windows Server 2019+ (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, Certificate Services)
- Support SQL Server 2016, Exchange Server, and backup systems (e.g., Arcserve UDP)
- Manage virtual environments using VMware ESXi 7.0+ and vCenter 6.7+
- Work within System Centre environments
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in both support and project roles
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Current SC Clearance (or eligibility for DV Clearance)
Desirable:
