The Role
Our client is a well-established electronic security provider delivering high-quality security solutions across the commercial, industrial and government sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join their Christchurch team.
This is a hands-on role offering a mix of installation, maintenance, fault finding and project delivery work across a wide range of electronic security systems.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Installation, programming and commissioning of electronic security systems
β’ Service, maintenance and fault-finding across existing client sites
β’ Project coordination and site supervision as required
β’ Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams
β’ Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
β’ Preparing documentation and project updates where required
β’ Maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations
Systems Experience
β’ Access Control
β’ CCTV
β’ Intruder Alarms
β’ Fire Security Systems
β’ Intercom Systems
About You
β’ Previous experience working as a Security Technician, Security Engineer or Electronic Security Technician
β’ Strong technical troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
β’ Experience coordinating projects and managing on-site activities
β’ Excellent communication and customer service skills
β’ Sound understanding of health and safety requirements
β’ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
β’ Valid New Zealand Driver's Licence
β’ Current Certificate of Approval (COA) is essential
β’ Relevant electrical or electronic security qualifications highly regarded
