Providing sales, service, distribution and technical parts support to the Tractor franchise dealer network.
Overview
The Sales Order Processing role works closely with the Managing Director, Area Sales Managers, Office colleagues and European Suppliers. Accurate processing of customer and Supplier orders on to the Sage 200 accounting system. Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and investigate under pressure, working alongside Suppliers and their in-house systems. As a lynchpin role between orders, dispatch and supply, it is essential to be able to respond quickly to questions from within the business and externally. Weekly production of reports in Excel to various external clients. Always maintain a high level of company and personal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the company’s sales order intake from our dealer network.
- Processing sales orders on to Sage 200.
- Selecting correct technical products.
- Ensuring timely fulfilment of customer orders.
- Working closely with Despatch for daily allocation of stock to orders.
- Providing excellent customer service to the dealer network including updates of order availability and delivery expectations.
- Inputting purchase orders on Supplier platforms.
- Managing inventory using forecasting data for stock order control with the Managing Director.
- Provide day to day order support for UK and Irish Area Sales Managers.
- Running weekly reports with data taken from Sage 200 and reworked into Excel.
- Preparing reports for invoice and commission credits for upload to External Clients.
- Liasing with key business partners and European Suppliers.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures, maintaining records in Sage 200 and communicating with other departments.
The Ideal Candidate
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- User knowledge of Sage 200.
- Be competent in using Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Have a keen eye for detail, especially with numbers and order details.
- The ability to organise and prioritise.
- Enjoy helping customers with excellent communication and great people skills.
- Be able to work alone using initiative and as part of a team.
- Hold a valid full UK driving license.
- Live within daily commuting distance of Long Buckby Wharf, Northamptonshire.
- Experience as a technical order processor and an interest in the agricultural industry would be beneficial.
