We're currently recruiting for a Stores Assistant to join a busy waste recovery facility on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established operation with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Role
As a Stores Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site's stores function. You'll be responsible for receiving, organising and issuing stock, helping to ensure engineering and operational teams have the materials and equipment they need to keep the site running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and book in deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Check goods for damage, quality and accuracy, reporting any discrepancies.
- Store stock safely and efficiently, ensuring correct labelling and stock locations.
- Issue parts, tools and consumables to engineering and operational teams.
- Update inventory records using stock control systems (such as SAP, Maximo, Pirana or similar).
- Carry out routine stock checks.
