# Business Manager – Public Sector Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Pay Rate: £25.26 per hour PAYE Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Temporary – Until April 2027 ## About the Role LYNX Employment Services are recruiting an experienced Business Manager to support the effective delivery, financial management and continuous improvement of public sector services in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and highly organised professional with experience in business planning, budget monitoring, performance management and service improvement. Working closely with senior management, you will help ensure services operate efficiently, deliver value for money and meet organisational objectives. ## Key Responsibilities Prepare and review budget reports, financial forecasts and management information. Support financial planning, budget adjustments and effective resource allocation. Develop and monitor performance management frameworks, targets and service improvement plans. Lead business improvement initiatives and support organisational change. Develop and maintain effective business continuity and risk management arrangements. Support workforce planning, HR processes and operational service delivery. Monitor systems and processes to improve efficiency, performance and value for money. Manage relationships with internal teams, senior managers and external stakeholders. Coordinate responses to complaints, Freedom of Information requests and Subject Access Requests. Support senior management with reporting, meetings, service planning and corporate compliance. Provide leadership and coordination of business support functions as required. ## Essential Requirements We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: Significant experience in business management, operational management or service improvement . Strong knowledge of financial management, budget monitoring and forecasting. Experience of performance management, business planning and organisational change.
