Our client is looking for a Senior Town Planning Officer, who will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality Development Management services. You will provide expert planning advice, manage a varied caseload of minor and other planning applications, and support the delivery of wider planning objectives across the authority.
Working within the Planning and Development team, you will help ensure that development proposals align with our place-shaping ambitions supporting the right development, in the right place, at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute proactively to the effective delivery of the Planning Service, supporting corporate objectives and continuous improvement.
- Deliver excellent customer service across all interactions, including with residents, developers, Councillors, and stakeholders.
- Provide timely, professional advice to members of the public and support engagement through the Customer Contact Centre and feedback channels.
- Assist in responding to complaints and enquiries from customers, MPs, and Councillors in line with corporate standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in DEF and IT systems to support performance monitoring and statutory targets.
- Support the Council's place-shaping agenda by promoting sustainable and appropriate development.
