We are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Waste Treatment plant near Knaresborough. The mechanical fitter shall support the mechanical maintenance team and the lead mechanical engineer in maintaining all aspects of mechanical plant, services, and equipment. As a mechanical fitter you will assist with planned preventative maintenance tasks, rectifying problems on mechanical assets and in the effective delivery of the planned outages whilst upholding the highest standard of health, safety, and quality. This is a 3 month contract initially but could become a permanent role for the right person. The working hours for this role are as follows: Week 1: 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday Week 2: 10pm – 6am Monday – Friday Key responsibilities Rectify problems on mechanical assets such as conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves and cranes Carry out Fabrication work and general workshop duties.
