This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile infrastructure project, working as part of a skilled team responsible for maintaining one of the UK's most important bridge networks.
The Role
As a General Operative, you will provide essential support to the bridge maintenance teams, assisting with a variety of operational tasks to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled trades including painters, riggers and grinders.
- Load, unload and move materials, tools and equipment.
- Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas.
- Support bridge maintenance and repair activities.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and site management.
- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Carry out general labouring duties as required.
- Work effectively as part of a professional maintenance team.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card.
- National Highways Passport.
- Previous experience working on construction, highways, infrastructure.
