Location: Northampton (Hybrid up to 3 days per week in the office)

Pay Rate: £18.86 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (30 hours over 4 days will be considered)

Contract: Temporary to 31 March 2027, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate

We are recruiting for an experienced Board & Governance Officer to join a professional governance team supporting the effective operation of a well-established organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with governance, company secretarial or board support experience who enjoys working with senior leaders and ensuring high standards of corporate governance and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative and governance support to the Board, Committees and senior leadership team.
  • Organise Board, Committee, AGM and EGM meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain governance records, forward plans, membership registers and declarations of interest.
  • Support statutory compliance, including Companies House filings and statutory registers.
  • Ensure governance activities comply with legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Coordinate information flow between Board members, senior officers and stakeholders.
