We are seeking an experienced Resolution and Tribunal Officer to support a busy SEND service team on a temporary agency basis. This role involves managing SEND appeal cases, coordinating mediations, and representing the Local Authority at tribunal hearings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee appeals to the First-tier Tribunal, ensuring timely responses and compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Coordinate and facilitate mediation meetings to help resolve disputes where appropriate.
- Represent the Local Authority at tribunal hearings.
- Work closely with parents, carers, young people, legal representatives, advocates, and educational settings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Provide clear communication and professional stakeholder management throughout the process.

- Location: Ipswich IP1
- Directorate: Children and Young People
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Contract Length: 18 May 2026 - 21 August 2026
- Working Pattern: Ideally 1 day per week in the office, however fully virtual working can be considered.
