We are recruiting for an experienced Highways Quantity Surveyor to join a busy transport and infrastructure team delivering a major highways capital programme. This is an Outside IR35 contract offering an immediate start, with the opportunity for long-term work on externally funded projects.
Location: Coventry Hybrid working, minimum of 2 days per week based in Coventry. Travel to project sites required.
Contract Details: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Initial contract until 24 September 2026. Externally funded projects are expected to continue until 31 July 2027, so there is potential for the contract to be extended.
Pay: £43.47 per hour PAYE.
The Role: You will provide specialist commercial support to ensure the successful delivery of highway and transport infrastructure projects, maintaining strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include:
- Commercial management of highways and transport capital projects
- Cost planning, forecasting and budget management
- Contract administration and procurement support
- Valuations, variations and final accounts
- Managing project costs, risks and financial reporting
- Working closely with project managers, engineers and contractors
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
