We are currently recruiting for 3 Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join a busy team delivering high-quality services across a range of sites. This is a great opportunity for individuals with grounds maintenance or horticultural experience who enjoy working outdoors as part of a team.
Locations Available:
Dumfries (DG2)
Up to 6-month assignment
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
Friday: 07:00 - 15:00
30-minute unpaid break daily
The Role:
Working within a mobile grounds maintenance team, you will support the upkeep of outdoor spaces across multiple sites. Duties include:
- Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general grounds maintenance
- Clearing leaves, litter, and maintaining clean outdoor environments
- Planting, pruning, and other horticultural tasks
- Setting out and maintaining sports pitches (grass and synthetic)
- Operating equipment such as strimmers, mowers, and small plant
- Carrying out minor repairs (e.g. slabs, kerbs, surfaces)
- Maintaining tools, vehicles, and machinery
- Supporting seasonal work such as gritting and snow clearance
