Solihull (Chelmsley Wood, B37) £13.05 per hour PAYE Full-Time | 37 Hours per Week | Temporary (46 Weeks with Potential to Become Permanent)

Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Facilities Assistant / Caretaker to support the day-to-day operation of multiple public buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with facilities, caretaking, porter or security experience looking to join a professional facilities team, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Opening and closing multiple council buildings.
  • Carrying out routine building patrols.
  • Undertaking workplace health and safety inspections.
  • Identifying hazards, risks and security issues.
  • Reporting maintenance issues and raising repair requests.
  • Supporting the wider Facilities Team with day-to-day operations.
  • Assisting during emergency call-outs on a rota basis (every three weeks).

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday (rotating shifts) 7:30am - 3:00pm, 11:30am - 7:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break).
  • Emergency call-out rota every three weeks: Minimum three hours paid if called out. No standby payment.
