BI & Insight Analyst / Data Analyst – Coventry Rate open to discussion\, depending on experience \| Inside IR35 Initial 2-month contract, with potential extension 37\.5 hours per week \| Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the Coventry office
LYNX Employment is recruiting an experienced BI & Insight Analyst / Data Analyst to support a key data transformation project within Coventry City Council's Digital & HR Services. You'll help migrate data from an existing data warehouse into a new Data Lake environment , maintaining data quality, integrity and reporting accuracy throughout the transition. A significant proportion of the work will involve HR data , working closely with HR teams and stakeholders across the organisation to turn complex information into clear, useful insight.
Your responsibilities will include:
Extracting, validating, cleansing and analysing data from multiple sources.
Supporting data migration from the existing warehouse into the new Data Lake.
Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports .
Producing accurate performance reports and management information.
Gathering stakeholder requirements and translating them into reporting solutions.
Developing data models and visualisations that support informed decisions.
Improving data quality processes and checking the accuracy of reporting outputs.
Explaining findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Handling sensitive information securely and maintaining confidentiality.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, Insight Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar. Strong Power BI dashboard and reporting development skills. SQL experience and confident Microsoft Excel skills. Experience working with large, complex datasets. Strong data quality, validation and analytical skills. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication. Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. A proactive approach to solving problems and improving reporting.
