Our client is looking for a Contracts and Data Officer to support waste disposal and HWRC contracts within a busy local authority service in Barnsley on a temporary contract.
The Role:
- Monitoring contractor performance
- Analysing complex payment mechanisms
- Ensuring accurate reporting
- Validating invoices and processing payments
- Managing stakeholder queries
- Attending contract meetings
This is a fast-paced role in a regulated environment requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail. An understanding of contract management within a regulated environment (waste/local authority) experience is desirable.
Requirements:
- Level 3 (e.g. ILM level 3 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent vocational/technical qualification)
- Basic DBS required
- Experience of policy and procedure formulation and implementation
- Experience in research and development activity including data analysis and performance reporting
- Experience in performance management, setting targets, plans and monitoring performance
- Experience in the key principles of contract management, contract law and procurement
- Significant experience of financial control mechanisms
- Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, being self-motivated and able to use own initiative under minimal supervision.
