Lynx Employment Services are recruiting for an experienced Refuse Driver (HGV Class 2) on behalf of our local authority client in Brentwood. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV Driver to join a busy waste and recycling team, helping to deliver essential environmental services to the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Supporting refuse collection operations across the borough.
- Working closely with loaders and operational teams to complete scheduled routes.
- Ensuring compliance with road traffic legislation and health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when interacting with members of the public.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience driving refuse collection vehicles or similar HGV vehicles is desirable.
- Good understanding of driver hours, vehicle safety and compliance requirements.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
