We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Assurance Officer to support a busy team with clearing a backlog of Subject Access Requests (SAR) and Freedom of Information (FOI) cases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with data protection experience who is confident in handling sensitive information and applying exemptions appropriately.
The Role
- Reviewing records in response to SAR and FOI requests
- Applying appropriate redactions in line with data protection legislation
- Identifying and applying relevant exemptions
- Preparing files for quality assurance checks prior to disclosure
- Supporting the team in reducing backlog volumes
- Ensuring confidentiality and accuracy at all times

- Proven experience handling SAR and FOI requests
- Strong understanding of data protection and information governance
- Experience applying redactions and exemptions confidently
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
