We are looking for an experienced HR professional to lead and support a busy casework function within a large, complex organisation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll oversee complex employee relations matters, support casework advisors, and ensure high-quality, consistent HR advice across a range of sensitive issues.
The Role
- Manage complex and sensitive HR casework including disciplinary, grievance, sickness, performance, and whistleblowing matters
- Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of casework advisors
- Support and advise at formal hearings and appeals
- Ensure consistent application of employment law, policies, and procedures
- Review and improve casework processes to drive efficiency and service quality
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, trade unions, and external partners
- Contribute to service improvement, policy development, and performance management
What We’re Looking For
- Strong generalist HR background with significant experience in complex case management
- Proven experience supporting formal hearings and advising panels
- Confident managing or mentoring HR teams in a fast-paced environment
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application
