Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced JCB Operator to join a busy Waste Depot on a temporary basis to provide sickness cover. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator looking for consistent weekday hours in a varied, hands-on role.
The Role
As a JCB Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a front-loading JCB while supporting the day-to-day running of the waste depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a front-loading JCB safely and efficiently.
- Fill and move skips around the depot.
- Push up waste bays to maintain operational efficiency.
- Carry out litter picking and general yard housekeeping.
- Order replacement skips when required.
- Complete routine yard inspections.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating a front-loading JCB.
- Relevant plant operator certification.
- Good awareness of health and safety within a waste or industrial environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, safety-conscious and proactive approach to work.
- A satisfactory DVLA licence check will be required.
