Our client is looking for a Waste Data Officer for a Hybrid role with a minimum of 2 office days per week. The role involves delivering administrative support and assistance to the Domestic Waste Team, ensuring service data compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and coordinating a designated team of Waste Support Assistants, ensuring effective operations and adherence to Council policy and legislation.
- Developing and maintaining management systems for reporting performance to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Waste Data Flow and Environment Agency submissions.
- Carrying out all duties and responsibilities with due regard to the Code of Conduct, Safeguarding, Health & Safety, and the City Council's Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Policies.
- Processing any personal data within the corporate data protection guidelines.
- Attending any training and undertaking any development activities that are identified as mandatory or beneficial to their role.
- Performing any other duties and responsibilities within the range of the salary grade.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience within Domestic or Commercial Waste Operations.
- Knowledge of waste management, recycling services, and relevant legislation.
- Experience supporting service performance, compliance, or operational reporting functions.
- Excel experience and confidence is essential.
- Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to their own vehicle.
£14.82 per hour PAYE working 30 hours per week (flexible across 4 or 5 days). Contract: Temporary for 3 months with potential to extend.
