Walsall Area £16.35 per hour PAYE Ongoing Work Immediate Start Available. Lynx Employment Services are recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to support environmental and waste collection services across the Walsall area. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for flexible, ongoing work. Shifts are offered on an ad hoc basis, with up to 4 days per week available.

Working Hours

  • Up to 37 hours per week
  • Up to 9.25 hours per day
  • Monday to Friday
  • Shift times: 6:15am – 4:15pm
  • Ad hoc bookings as required

Pay

£16.35 per hour (PAYE)

The Role

You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 vehicle while leading a collection crew and carrying out a range of environmental services, including:

  • Household waste collections
  • Commercial waste and recycling collections
  • Recycling collections
  • Food waste collections
  • Garden waste collections
  • Bulky waste collections
  • Bin deliveries
  • Street cleansing support
  • Removal of fly tipping

Drivers are expected to carry out daily vehicle safety checks, ensure compliance with Driver CPC and tachograph regulations, and operate safely at all times in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous HGV driving experience
  • No more than 3 penalty points
  • A professional and safety-conscious approach to work
