Wakefield (WF1) | Hybrid Working £16.62 per hour. Lynx Employment Services are recruiting for a Senior Information Governance Officer (Information Security & Compliance) to support a local authority's Corporate Information Governance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Information Governance professional with strong knowledge of Data Protection, Freedom of Information, Information Security, Records Management, Information Sharing and GDPR compliance.

  • Lead on the investigation and management of information security incidents and data breaches.
  • Provide advice and guidance on GDPR compliance, Information Security and Data Protection matters.
  • Support the development and review of Information Governance policies, procedures and compliance frameworks.
  • Assist with Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
  • Liaise with internal departments, external agencies and members of the public on information governance matters.

Experience within an Information Governance, Data Protection or Information Security environment. UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation. Information Security principles.
