Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Principal Strategic Planner to support a local authority in Oxfordshire on a long-term contract basis. This is a key role for an experienced planning professional with a background in policy and/or development management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support the preparation and implementation of local planning policy.
- Provide strategic advice on major planning applications and infrastructure projects.
- Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and the public on planning issues.
- Contribute to high-level planning strategies that shape future growth and development.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in town and country planning, preferably within a local authority (county, district or unitary).
- Proven track record in planning policy and/or development management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
