Location: Hybrid (3 days in office)

Pay Rate: £32.40 per hour

Contract: Temporary (3 months)

Hours: 37 hours per week

The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join their Environmental Health team, working within the Environmental Protection function. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team and make a real impact on public health and environmental quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Investigating complaints relating to noise, odour, smoke, light, and other statutory nuisances.
  • Contributing to environmental health policies and procedures.
  • Assessing planning applications and providing technical advice on environmental impacts.
  • Supporting wider environmental health functions where required.

About You

  • Degree in Environmental Health.
  • Experience applying environmental health legislation, particularly in nuisance and pollution.
  • Ability to provide sound technical advice on planning and environmental matters.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and flexible approach.
