We are recruiting for an Assistant Quality Manager to join a busy highways and infrastructure contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in highways, construction or a similar environment who has a keen eye for detail and enjoys maintaining high standards of quality.
The Role
Working alongside the Quality Manager, you will help ensure that work carried out on-site meets the required quality standards. You will carry out inspections, record findings, maintain quality records and work closely with operational teams to support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality inspections on completed and ongoing works.
- Visit sites to ensure work has been completed to the required standard.
- Record inspection findings accurately and take photographic evidence where required.
- Update quality records and spreadsheets.
- Produce simple inspection reports.
- Highlight quality issues and assist with follow-up actions.
- Work with operational teams to improve quality standards.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Follow all health, safety and quality procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience within highways, construction or a similar industry.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
It would be beneficial if you also have:
- Experience carrying out site inspections.
- Knowledge of highway maintenance standards.
- Previous quality assurance or auditing experience.
What's on Offer
