The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to provide temporary cover within a busy local authority legal team. The role is offered on a predominantly remote basis, as most hearings are conducted online. However, the successful candidate will need to attend the Solihull office initially to collect and test IT equipment and complete an induction. The position will involve managing adult social care legal matters and providing clear, practical advice to officers and other stakeholders. The ability and willingness to undertake advocacy when required would be highly desirable.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified and authorised to practise in England and Wales as a Solicitor or Barrister; or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with litigation practice rights
  • Relevant adult social care legal experience
  • Ability to manage an active caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Available to work between 22 and 29 hours per week
  • Able to attend the Solihull office for the initial IT setup and induction
