We are recruiting an experienced Capital Quantity Surveyor to support a busy Housing Property Services team. This is a hands-on Quantity Surveying position covering the development of contract documentation, procurement of goods, services and works, financial measurement and valuation of works, interim payments, final accounts and project financial reporting.

The Role

  • Preparing tenders, Bills of Quantities, work schedules, specifications and Schedules of Rates.
  • Procuring goods, services and works contracts.
  • Participating in tender evaluations and reporting outcomes.
  • Undertaking site measurements and valuations.
  • Preparing payment notifications and associated documentation.
  • Preparing and agreeing costs for variations and non-standard works.
  • Analysing and agreeing claims and final accounts.
  • Producing accurate financial reports for projects and contracts.
  • Managing financial aspects of capital and revenue works.
  • Maintaining knowledge of standard methods of measurement and forms of contract.
  • Assessing leaseholder contributions and service charges.
  • Supporting returns required by government, regulators and external funding providers.

About You

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • At least 2 years' post-qualification experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience covering both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
  • Good knowledge of different forms of building contracts.
  • Proven experience managing revenue, capital and externally funded budgets.
  • Experience preparing and issuing contract administration documentation.
  • Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, including CDM.
  • A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to manage a varied workload.
