LYNX EMPLOYMENT \| MINUTE TAKER Location: Northamptonshire LYNX Employment is recruiting a highly organised Minute Taker to support children’s services meetings across Northamptonshire. Accurate minute taking is the main focus of this role. You’ll attend sensitive and complex meetings, capture discussions, decisions and recommendations, and produce clear, professional records. You’ll also provide administrative support to keep meeting information and service records up to date. Your main responsibilities: Take accurate minutes at Child Protection Conferences, Child in Care Reviews and other statutory meetings. Record attendance, key discussions, decisions and recommendations. Prepare well-presented meeting records for review and approval. Handle sensitive information with care and follow safeguarding procedures. Supporting administrative duties: Update electronic records with meeting outcomes. Prepare meeting rooms and welcome attendees. Liaise with social workers, external agencies and colleagues. Respond to information enquiries in line with service procedures. Provide wider administrative support as required. What we’re looking for: Experience providing administrative support for complex meetings. Excellent written communication and the ability to turn meeting notes into clear, accurate records. Strong attention to detail and confident IT skills. A calm, professional and tactful approach. The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. GCSE-standard education, including Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications or business experience. Experience within children’s services and knowledge of statutory safeguarding procedures would be advantageous. You must have access to a car and be able to travel independently to meetings across Northamptonshire.
