Job Description

Role Overview We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Front End Loader (FEL) Driver will be responsible for the safe operation of the FEL to support daily waste processing activities within the Mechanical Treatment Plant.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining material flow, ensuring safe working areas, and supporting plant operations during both normal and peak operational periods.

This is full time for 3 months, Monday - Friday.

Times 6.00am-2.00pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the Front End Loader (NPORS qualified) to move, load, and manage waste streams within the facility.
  • Create and maintain waste pockets for processing equipment and external contractors.
  • Support plant start-up, shutdown, and ongoing operations by ensuring a consistent material feed.
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections, report defects, and maintain equipment in a safe working condition.
  • Assist with housekeeping duties, clearing blockages, and maintaining safe access routes.
  • Adhere to all site safety procedures, traffic management rules, and operational instructions.
  • Liaise effectively with Operations, Maintenance teams, and external contractors.
  • Candidate Requirements

Valid NPORS Front End Loader qualification (essential).

Previous experience within waste, recycling, or industrial environments is desirable.

Ability to work independently and follow operational instructions.

Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and compliance requirements.

Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the 06:0014:00 shift pattern.
