Location: Chesterfield

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Start date: As soon as possible, subject to notice period

We are recruiting an experienced Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to join a well-established and growing law firm in Chesterfield. This opportunity would suit a Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with at least five years experience who is confident managing a varied caseload and providing support to junior colleagues. You will take responsibility for your own residential property matters while helping to lead and develop a small team. You will also work closely with the Head of Residential Property to support the continued growth of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
  • Handle sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
  • Lead, support and mentor junior members of the team
  • Provide technical guidance on complex conveyancing matters
  • Maintain high standards of client care and communication
  • Ensure files meet compliance, quality and regulatory requirements
  • Use the firms case management system to maintain accurate records
  • Contribute to the continued development and growth of the department

About you

  • At least five years residential conveyancing experience
  • Qualification as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential property transactions
  • Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Previous supervisory, mentoring or team leadership experience
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Confidence using legal case management systems
  • A proactive and commercially aware approach
