How to prepare for a job interview at Lynx Employment Services Ltd

Know Your Assets

Before the interview, brush up on asset management principles and the specific systems mentioned in the job description. Familiarise yourself with CAFM systems and how they relate to data integrity. This will show your potential employer that you’re not just a fit for the role but also genuinely interested in their operations.

Excel at Excel

Since proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial for this role, make sure you can confidently discuss your experience with it. Prepare to share examples of how you've used Excel for reporting or data management in previous roles. If you can, practice some common functions or formulas that might come up during the discussion.

Organise Your Thoughts

Given the emphasis on organisation and time management, think about how you can demonstrate these skills. Prepare a few anecdotes that highlight your ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your responses clearly.

Ask Insightful Questions

At the end of the interview, don’t forget to ask questions! Inquire about the team dynamics, the tools they use for asset management, or how they handle compliance challenges. This not only shows your interest but also gives you a better understanding of what working there would be like.
