We are recruiting Grounds Maintenance Operatives to deliver a wide range of outdoor maintenance tasks, ensuring sites remain safe, clean, and well presented throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Grass cutting, strimming, edging, and hedge trimming
- Litter picking, leaf clearance, and general site tidiness
- Shrub, hedge, and flowerbed maintenance
- Weed control using manual or chemical methods (subject to qualifications)
- Assisting with the use of grounds maintenance machinery and tools
- Following daily work schedules and meeting performance targets
- Supporting seasonal duties such as planting and winter gritting
- Adhering to health & safety procedures and wearing PPE at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or outdoor labour roles
- Ability to use common grounds equipment (strimmers, blowers, hedge cutters)
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- LANTRA or NVQ qualifications in horticulture or grounds maintenance
- PA1 / PA6 spraying certification
- Experience operating ride-on mowers
