The predicted salary is between 43.47 - 43.47 £ per hour.

We are recruiting for an experienced Highways Quantity Surveyor to join a busy transport and infrastructure team delivering a major highways capital programme. This is an Outside IR35 contract offering an immediate start, with the opportunity for long-term work on externally funded projects.

Location: Coventry Hybrid working, minimum of 2 days per week based in Coventry. Travel to project sites required.

Contract Details: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Initial contract until 24 September 2026. Externally funded projects are expected to continue until 31 July 2027, so there is potential for the contract to be extended.

Pay: £43.47 per hour PAYE.

The Role: You will provide specialist commercial support to ensure the successful delivery of highway and transport infrastructure projects, maintaining strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include:

  • Commercial management of highways and transport capital projects
  • Cost planning, forecasting and budget management
  • Contract administration and procurement support
  • Valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Managing project costs, risks and financial reporting
  • Working closely with project managers, engineers and contractors
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

About You: The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Experience managing capital works programmes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
