We are recruiting 3 experienced Complex SEN Case Officers to support a Local Authority in Shrewsbury. This fully remote role focuses on managing complex Annual Review cases, ensuring statutory compliance and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
Key Responsibilities- Manage complex and escalated Annual Review cases from decision through to amended/final EHCPs.
- Handle disputed cases, specialist or out-of-county placement requests, and significant provision changes.
- Prepare and present complex cases to the Resource and Cost Panel (RCP).
- Produce evidence-based recommendations for funding uplifts, placement changes and specialist provision.
- Work closely with parents, schools, SENCOs and professionals to resolve complex issues and minimise tribunal escalation.
- Ensure all work is completed within statutory timescales and in line with SEND legislation.
- Previous Local Authority SEN Case Officer experience.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP Annual Review processes.
- Experience managing complex Annual Reviews, specialist placements and funding panels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and case management skills.
- Able to work independently and manage a busy remote caseload.
