## Looking for a Property Role That Gets You Out from Behind the Desk? 12\-month contract \| Varied property portfolio \| Flexible working week \| Milton Keynes

LYNX Employment Services are looking for a proactive, organised and commercially aware

Assistant Estates Surveyor

to join an established property management team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in

property management, housing, lettings or estates administration

who enjoys taking ownership of their workload, getting out on site and seeing the results of their work. You don't necessarily need to have held the title of Surveyor before.

We're equally interested in candidates with relevant practical property experience, strong organisational skills and the confidence to coordinate inspections, maintenance and property-related matters. With a

12-month contract

and a working pattern that reduces to

three days per week after approximately two months , this could be an excellent fit for someone looking for a rewarding role with a better work-life balance. ## What Will You Be Doing? You'll help manage a portfolio of garages and associated property assets across Milton Keynes, ensuring properties are well maintained, efficiently managed and ready for occupation. Your responsibilities will include: Property Management:

Overseeing garage lettings, licences, vacancies, terminations and occupancy records. Site Inspections:

Visiting garages, estates and property locations to assess condition, identify issues and arrange appropriate action. Maintenance Coordination:

Working with contractors to organise repairs, lock changes and minor improvement works. Tenant & Stakeholder Liaison:

Building positive working relationships and resolving property-related enquiries. Portfolio Administration:

Keeping accurate property records, preparing reports and supporting routine property transactions. Financial Support:

Assisting with income monitoring, outstanding payments and related administration. Service Improvement:

Supporting property projects, disposals and opportunities to improve how the portfolio is managed. This isn't a role where you'll spend every day staring at spreadsheets.

You'll enjoy a genuine mix of practical property management, site visits, problem-solving and administration. ## What Are We Looking For? We're interested in hearing from people who have worked in areas such as: Property or estates management Housing management or housing services Residential or commercial lettings Property maintenance coordination Facilities or asset management Property administration with practical inspection or contractor experience

Ideally, you'll bring: Previous experience in property, housing, estates or a closely related environment. An NVQ Level 3 in Property Management, an equivalent qualification or relevant practical experience. A working understanding of property inspections, licences, records and maintenance processes. Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills. Confidence using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and property databases. The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.

## Why Consider This Opportunity? A contract with stability:

A 12-month assignment offering the chance to make a meaningful contribution to an established property service.

A genuinely varied working day:

Combine office-based responsibilities with site inspections, contractor liaison and hands-on problem-solving.

A shorter working week:

Start on four days per week, moving to three days after approximately two months.

Broaden your property experience:

Develop your knowledge across lettings, estate inspections, maintenance, asset management and property administration. ## Interested? Let's Talk! If you've got a background in property, housing, lettings or estates management and want a role offering variety, responsibility and a shorter working week, we'd love to hear from you.
