Join a Team That Keeps the Community Clean
Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Team Leader LGV Driver to join a busy frontline refuse collection team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious driver who enjoys working outdoors, leading a crew, and delivering an essential public service.
Working as a Team Leader Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Safely operating a refuse collection vehicle while leading your crew to ensure waste and recycling collections are completed efficiently across the district.
- Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
- Leading and supervising the collection crew.
- Collecting household waste, recycling and garden waste.
- Reporting vehicle defects, incidents and missed collections.
- Liaising with supervisors and depot staff when required.
The successful candidate will receive full induction, health & safety training, shadowing and training on waste reception points before commencing duties.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
- Experience driving LGV/Class 2 vehicles.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and undertake some manual handling.
