Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire (HX3)

Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Contract: 6 July 2026 - 31 October 2026

Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Gardener / Horticulturist to help maintain and improve parks, green spaces and the public realm across Calderdale. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical horticultural experience who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering high-quality grounds maintenance.

You will carry out a wide range of gardening and horticultural duties, including:

  • Grass cutting using pedestrian mowers
  • Hard and soft landscaping
  • Ornamental horticulture
  • Tree maintenance
  • Safe use, cleaning and maintenance of horticultural machinery
  • Providing excellent customer service while representing the organisation in the community

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)
  • NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in grounds maintenance, horticulture or landscaping
  • Good knowledge of horticultural machinery and equipment
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
