We are looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor to join a busy Property Services team, managing a diverse property portfolio and supporting a range of estate and asset management activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded surveyor with experience in local government and commercial property to work on a varied and interesting portfolio. The role supports estate management, lettings, valuations, acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant matters.
The Role- Manage a mixed commercial and operational property portfolio.
- Undertake property valuations and provide professional property advice.
- Manage lettings, leases, licences and tenancy matters.
- Support property acquisitions and disposals.
- Liaise with internal departments, legal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assist with estate management and asset management projects.
- Carry out occasional local site visits.
- Hybrid working with office attendance only when required.
- Some weeks may require up to three office days, while others may require none.
- Occasional local travel for property inspections and site visits.
- Experience working within Local Government.
- Experience managing a mixed property portfolio.
- Strong valuation experience across commercial property.
- Experience of commercial and industrial estates.
- Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation.
- Experience of lettings, leases, tenancy and general estates management.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Estate Management, Property Management, Facilities Management, Town & Country Planning or a related discipline.
- RICS membership, or working towards Chartered status.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.
