Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced SEN / Education Lawyer to join their legal team on a full-time temporary contract. This role is to provide vacancy cover and, for the right candidate, there is the potential for the position to become permanent. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN/SEND) and education law to work remotely, providing high-quality legal advice.
You will provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of education law matters, working closely with Children's Services and other stakeholders to ensure the Council meets its statutory duties.
- Provide legal advice on all aspects of SEN and education law.
- Manage a varied caseload relating to EHCPs, SEND and education matters.
- Prepare legal documentation, pleadings and reports.
- Provide practical legal advice to officers and senior stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and case law.
- Manage your own caseload while working effectively within a remote team.
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate. Significant experience in SEN/SEND and Education Law. Previous Local Authority legal experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014, Education Act and SEND legislation. Ability to work independently in a fully remote role.
