Our client is looking for a Class 2 RORO Skip Driver for Dewsbury. The role is for a 3-month contract.
Overview: As a Class 2 RORO Skip Driver, you will operate articulated/rigid HGV Class 2 vehicles transporting RORO skips safely and efficiently to customer sites. You will be responsible for collection, delivery, secure handling, and on-site placement, ensuring excellent customer service and full compliance with transport and safety regulations. Working 5am to 13.45 on a 40 hour contract Monday to Friday.
- Drive a Class 2 vehicle as a RORO Skip Driver, transporting RORO skips between depots and customer locations.
- Load, unload and secure RORO skips in line with vehicle and skip handling procedures.
- Ensure accurate completion of delivery/collection paperwork and job documentation.
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts.
Essential Requirements:
- HGV Class 2 licence (C category) with valid DCPC and digital tachograph card.
- Proven experience as an HGV Skip Driver / RORO driver (preferred).
- Experience operating and handling RORO skips safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of driver safety, traffic management, and safe site working practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage timekeeping to meet delivery schedules.
- Good communication skills and customer-focused approach.
